Holiday & Sick days tracking calendar was build based on the research inside Chelsea apps factory. I interviewed all of our PMs, BMs, POs, and heads of the departments. The structure of the app reflects the dualistic structure, both temporary project teams, as well as permanent departments. One of the main headaches was chasing all managers for holiday approvals as well as making sure that we have another employee with similar skillset available to cover. Another pain from employee perspective was a lack of transparency over holiday allowance and lieu days earned.
